Ok Lemmings Here's a chance to post your ideas for new maps. Let's hear a reason why it is good and add a link to the pictures and/or webpage of the map. I do not guarantee that we will use these maps but we can at least talk about them and let everybody see the map. Example: La Rochelle - This is a pretty good map for Lemmings United because it is large, has good balance and many objectives. Whoa Spidey That's a NICE list. I have MANY opinions on these but I'm gonna wait for other's to talk first. The reason is I think I influenced too many maps already, can't be a greedy hobbit now So c'mon TfL and you lurkers, here's your chance to make a 'difference' Hobbit ps. I'm sure that took alot of work and helps me in tracking them down....+1 karma to your friendly neighborhood Peter Parker haha

Heh Thx Hobbit, Tho most of those are links off rtcwfiles.. err filefront.. err whatever they are now, so didnt take to long Otherwise I tried to put up links to the map makers if I knew them. As to the maps, I know its long. I just wanted to put it out there, cos I feel ET has a great map community. Ive played with Rvr back in the HP2 days, and Iffy at ChiGC. Lot of fun maps, albiet some are not noob friendly, or spam (arti/heavy weap) friedly, large servers, etc. Not to put you on the spot Hobbit; regarding maps, do you plan on having a rotation up for a month or so, then changing it. Or is it more a permanent situation. If its short term, it would be nice to see a fresh mix of maps, every month or other month. If its long term, then it should probably be maps that appeal to the masses. For example, it would be nice to see a week or so of RtCW maps, that would rock! Or a week of large maps (like what used to play on HP2), Tank, Den Of Lions.. etc. Ofcourse, most if not all the maps I have listed are old. Well, just not anything new. So if anyone has heard of up and coming cool maps, that would be nice to hear. As a note, I accidently put a link of Tram that is not a direct port of the RtCW version. But I do have the ET map that is an exact port, incase you guys ever want to try it. As a old RtCW'er, I loved Tram, but I will admit it was always an axis friendly map (seemed to me anyways). Its even harder for allies in ET given the arti spam, and faster rate of fire for heavy weaps too. Hope to give more my personal feed back for other maps I listed in next few days.. =D

I think peter's list of maps he doesn't like is much shorter than the list above. But, I also like most of those he listed above...and i think I still have some of them downloaded from my ChiGC days. I'll go ahead and second peter's choices [as extensive and comprehensive of a list as it is]. He and I know those maps. Knowing them, and knowing someone else knows them, always makes for great game play.

Hello guys Yes, I plan on changing up the maps...more of adding in than removing any. There will probably be 1 or 2 new maps a month. The original 6 will always be in the cycle. I have to phase them in so that players can download and learn before a new map comes in. The week of maps thing will not work on Lemmings because most players at Lemmings have never played RTCW and don't have the patience to learn 6 new maps in the same week. Once we get a more dedicated following, then perhaps we can do that. Obviously, we won't be able to run ALL those maps Let me shorten the list a bit: REMOVE: Assault (exact port)..from what I heard there are issues with this map Beach (exact port) ... we ran the D-Day map for awhile, although this map is cool, I think funbeach is a better choice Depot www.fidel.vido.info/fidel.html Already running this TC_Base (exact port) We've run this and the game ends too quick. Village (exact port) Lots of players dislike this map...I dunno why I like it too. RtCW maps to ET: Marketgarden...map is too large of a download...almost 40 megs and it's still Beta, if they come out with final, I'd definitely consider it cuz it's a great map Ressurection has been played to death, although I think it's gonna be a good map for Halloween time ET: Base Race It's a cool map but a bit ugly in my opinion and every other server runs this. 2Tanks is my choice for a variant to this map. OR, when the new Baserace (snow) comes out, we'll run it. Byzantine I've never had fun on this map...too much of a maze I think Carnage Canyon I like but it seems like it will be a spawn fest with our settings Cathedral I used to really like this map but realized the fighting is too spread out even with 40 players. Might change my mind about this one though. Church is a great map but way too small for Lemmings I think Silly Ctf - another fun map but way too small for Lemmings Temple - we've run MLB Temple for about 3 months and that had too much lag with 40 players Raiders - last I heard this map had crashing server problems...I like it though Venice - already running Let's talk/discuss/debat about the removal of these before we move on to the list of maps still in consideration. Oh also, has ANYBODY seen a good fight on ET-Depot yet? I'm seeing this map end way too quickly. I am not going to remove it but I'm surprised that so few people know this map.
And can anybody confirm if the forward spawn flag is working correctly? I changed the script so that axis/allies auto spawn there everytime the map is captured...this was broken in the et depot distribution copy.

the reason that depot doesnt really work here is that most peaple doesnt seem to know it (from rtcw).. i played it a year ago when my ET didnt work anymore, but now im walking to the wrong way everytime. big parts of the map looks like each other, a few players like the mirror very much www.demonsplace.satanist.nl/stuff/mirror.dm_84. from all the depot matched ive played the allies ([TfL]) won very easy wirh evil and relix and frank(?) knowing most routes. how about et_tram? there are absolutly enough players for it... but hob. you said there was a problem with 2 maps in 1 pk3 file? i liked this map very much and it shall be hillarious with 15 ppl in 1 tram/train/thing. i like helmsdeep its a good map (still dont fully know it) and there are wins from both sides. tankbuster... also a nice one but way to uneven. with lag or 50 players the axis win... both tunnels are fully covert with allot of mg's. but if the axis dont have that many mg's the allies can walk through and blow all the tanks. so its onesided most of the time. -LD

Hey guys... yeah i m also sad that we don t get good fights at depot.... i was playing just that single map on happy penguin for more than 1 year.....(btw: yeah hobbit the spawn script was messed up...) Helmsdeep is a real good map...same thing not enough good player on both teams that go for objectives..... Tankbuster is my new favourite custom map....despite i think it s really uneven the way u explained above i really like it.....

Ok Peter & Nowhere
Please give me a list of 3 maps you listed and let's run one of them. Rank them in the order of most wanted.
Demon, I am having troubles getting a good copy of tram. One I have is the modded version. The other one I have has that 2 maps in one problem.
